In 1972, Terzani was established in Florence by Sergio Terzani. In the meantime, under the leadership of Nicolas Terzani, the designer brand has become a conspicuous name in luxury lighting. In collaboration with renowned designers such as Nigel Coates, Maurizio Galante, Christian Lavas and Dodos Arlsans, many designs have become icons of Italian creativity.
The Terzani philosophy is that lighting is more than an accessory, it is a valuable moving spirit in the room. Terzani produces distinct designs that explode with light and this gives lighting a new meaning.
Terzani has its own specialised Terzani Lab that it uses to refine the production of its luxury lighting to the smallest detail. This laboratory is responsible for testing and developing new materials, techniques and ideas.
This allows Terzani to transform a wide range of materials into creations that both illuminate and inspire. An example is the Mizu Collection, a design inspired by the captivating reflections from water. Each unique and handmade water droplet adds to the surprisingly light pattern.
The Terzani collections each add a specific ambiance to their surroundings. For example, the Atlantis collection captivates the entire room with hundreds of artfully draped chains. The impressive lighting from this pendant lamp reflects that of an ocean wave.
The Doodle collection represents controlled chaos. Just like individuals, every doodle is unique. The design illustrates the dynamics of life and the choices we make.
