From dmlights to Peeq

Why is dmlights changing its name?

The name dmlights has two parts: dm and lights. The 'dm' refers to De Meutter, the family name of our founder Paul De Meutter and his son Jef, our current CEO. 'Lights' speaks for itself. We have been the online lighting specialist since 2004.

Both parts of this name remain close to our hearts. We remain a family business and lighting will always be part of our DNA, but we want to look beyond. Beyond lighting, beyond illuminating beautiful interiors. We want to offer these beautiful things ourselves that we have been shining a light on for so long.

The name Peeq refers to 'peek', because we want to show you a glance at what your interior can become. 'To take a peek', in turn, has a connotation of curiosity. There is something to discover. We want to achieve this feeling in our customers. At Peeq, there is always something new to discover.

But Peeq also stands for 'to peak'. We want to be the best. In service, in product range, in delivery and in advice.

A lot of changes. As mentioned, we are going to expand our product range. Peeq will no longer only sell lighting, but also home accessories and furniture. For this, we work with trusted partners such as Kartell, Muuto and Hay, as well as new brands such as Vipp, Aytm and Ferm Living.

Behind the scenes, we are also working hard on a new website. With a fresh look, new functionalities and an even better user experience.

Apart from the change in product range, no. Your account details remain the same, you can still consult your current orders, invoices and quotations.

The service remains unchanged as well. The same team that is currently ready for you at dmlights will soon help you with a smile at Peeq.
