Flos - Lampadina

Lampadina is a table lamp providing diffused and direct light, designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1972.

The name Lampadina is the Italian word for light bulb, and it is this light bulb that plays the leading part in the design. Lampadina uses a low-energy halogen light bulb, shaped like the traditional light bulb. It’s the simplicity of the design that attracts the attention. The light bulb is partially sandblasted; the combination of matt and transparent glass spreads the light uniquely.

The anodized aluminum base of Flos Lampadina serves to contain excess power cord. Lampadina has a bakelite lamp-holder, painted to match the switch in the orange and black colors. The clear globe lamp is partially sandblasted to diffuse the light.
